Upstream Processing

Our laboratory analyses material properties to support process development for pipe extrusion.
Modern dosing stations with gravimetric systems ensure precise, reproducible feeding of raw materials, helping reduce material consumption and maintain stable extrusion processes.
Dosing parameters are adapted to customer-specific materials to support consistent processing conditions and reliable material utilization.

Extrusion

KraussMaffei Extrusion's modern gravimetric systems enable precise material dosing during extrusion, reducing raw material consumption while ensuring stable, reproducible processes. Within the extruder, reliable plasticization is achieved even at high throughputs. The melt is formed into a pipe profile with uniform wall distribution, followed by calibration, cooling, and customer-specific cutting at the line end.

Forming and Downstream Processing

High-performance calibrators are adapted to the specific material for stable and precise processing.
Wave-based wall thickness measurement enables inline control and further material savings.
Pipe finishing is tailored to individual customer requirements.
KraussMaffei Extrusion's Technology Center offers two complete pipelines for trials and process development.
