Extrusion

The material intake stage forms the basis for stable and efficient sheet production. Raw materials are fed in a controlled and reproducible manner, with optional side feeding for fillers depending on formulation requirements. Integrated vacuum degassing removes moisture and volatiles from the process, ensuring consistent product quality. KraussMaffei Extrusion enables a stable process environment and delivers a homogeneous melt as the final output of the extruder. 

Forming and Downstream Processing

• Slot die systems ensure uniform melt distribution onto calender rolls, providing stable basis conditions for downstream sheet formation. 

• Calender stacks enable controlled cooling and surface structuring, ensuring defined product properties and consistent sheet quality. 

• Optional inline lamination can be integrated to apply protective or functional surface layers depending on product requirements. 
• Downstream cutting and stacking systems provide efficient handling and prepare the final sheets for further processing or logistics.
